The Out Of The Blue Singers love performing, and always look forward to entertaining. Each year we create a major show, such as "Ablaze in Brazil " in 2004. This showcased our varied repertoire - Latin, 60s classics, traditional folk music, jazz and blues.
Some of the events in which we have performed are:
- International Women's Day Concert (March)
- Thirroul Seaside Festival (April)
- Viva La Gong street march and concert (November)
- St Andrews Musical afternoon
We also entertain various community groups, perform at fund-raisers for charities and other worthy causes.
We have just competed in the 2006 National Sweet Adelines Convention in Brisbane and look forward to undertaking new singing engagements.
Out Of The Blue is available for hire by ringing Louise Meyrick on 0417 253 487.

Every year on March 8 women around the world celebrate International Women's Day. It is commemorated by the United Nations and is designated as a national holiday in many countries.
International Women's Day represents the movement of women for equality, justice, peace and development. It has become a rallying point for the co-ordinated efforts to focus on issues of women's human rights and participation in the political process. It is a time of mutual support of women around the country and around the world highlighting progress as well as need. As an opportunity to give voice to women's perspectives in society Illawarra's IWD Festival offers insight to the wealth and potential of women of the Illawarra. |

International Women's Day - a perfect event to bring together women from all backgrounds, occupations, roles and vocations. Women together, lifting our voices in harmony, celebrating our creativity, our courage and our strength. In 2005 we produced our International Women's Day Gala Concert for the third time. The variety and quality of performers coupled with the joy of performing is a tribute to the women of our community.
From the beginning the idea was to create a way for women to participate together in International Women's Day. The only requirement for participants was to be female and to believe in the unique and valuable place of women in today's world.

Women are a powerful force for harmony and peace. We can start in our own community to build bridges and connections and networks of like-minded people. The Blues Sisters Sing Big Chorus demonstrated this.
